Data security features in compliance with GDPR
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a European Union-wide privacy and data protection policy to regulate the protection of EU residents' data and enhance the control over their personal data.
At Analytics Plus, we offer features to honor customers' right to data privacy and protection. This document will brief you about each Analytics Plus feature that complies with GDPR.

Handing Personal Information
Analytics Plus allows you to securely handle personal information by marking columns as Personally Identifiable Information (PII). The PII could be any information that potentially identifies an individual, such as name, email address, company name, etc.
The data in the columns marked as PII will be encrypted and stored in Analytics Plus servers for enhanced security. Marking as PII also helps you to avoid the accidental export of PII data. However, users can opt to include these columns manually while exporting views.
Data Encryption
Any personal information stored in the Analytics Plus server is encrypted for enhanced security. We have handled data encryption at various levels.
- Any field marked as PII will be encrypted and then stored in Analytics Plus servers.
- Any private information provided for authenticating third-party applications will automatically be identified with due diligence and stored in our databases in an encrypted manner.
Enhanced data privacy and security
Analytics Plus allows you to set a password for views that are exported, emailed, or published. This way, your reports, and dashboards can be viewed only by the intended recipients.
Set passwords while exporting and emailing views
To set passwords for exported views, open the required report, dashboard or table. Click Export and choose one of the supported formats. In the page that appears, select the Set Password checkbox and specify the required password. The same process can be carried out while emailing views and configuring email schedules. Note:
Formats such as HTML, Image, and CSV are compressed before password protection. The PDF and Excel exports are directly password-protected without being compressed.
The specified password will have to be shared separately to all intended recipients as Analytics Plus does not offer options to share your password through the application interface.
Set passwords while publishing and embedding views
You can set passwords while publishing views, or embedding them on a website. This is particularly useful while embedding dashboards in your intranet portal where you want only a certain section of your users to view the published content.
To set a password for views that are embedded without login access, open the required view, and click Share. Select the Embed option, choose Access without Login access permission, and click the Set access Password check box to provide your required password. Users who access the embedded link will now be prompted to enter their password. The same process can be carried out while creating permanent URLs (permalink) for your views. Note:
The Access with Login option in the publish section does not support passwords as only users with valid login credentials to Analytics Plus will be able to view the published dashboards and reports. Click here to know more about the various publishing options.

Data Portability
Analytics Plus allows you to have a copy of your data in two different ways:
- Data Backup: This feature allows you to take a backup of your data from tables and query tables in every workspace individually. You can download the backed-up data anytime as CSV files. Click here to learn more about data backup.

Secured Access
Analytics Plus offers a set of security features to ensure your data is accessed only by authorized users. You can easily control and manage access to your account with IP restrictions and control the various sharing and collaboration options. Erase and Forget data
When you close the Analytics Plus account, your data will be retained on our servers for 45 days and will be deleted post this period. If you wish to delete all the data immediately, please write to us at analyticsplus-support@manageengine.com from your registered email address.
