How to block employees from accessing websites With DataSecurity Plus

1. Open the DataSecurity Plus web console.
2. Select Cloud Protection from the apps drop-down at the top.

3. Navigate to the Configuration tab.
4. Under the Cloud App Settings drop-down on the left, select Banned Applications.
5. Click + Add Applications in the top-right corner.

6. In the text box, enter the list of websites you want to block, separating each of them with commas.
7. Click Review.

Note: Ensure that you have configured Threat Analytics before starting the review. This enables the categorizing of websites based on their reputation scores. Click here for steps to configure the threat analytics database.

8. Depending on the number of websites you have added, it may take a few minutes to categorize and assign reputation scores. Click Go next to the Continue the previously started review process panel to check the status of the review.
9. When the status changes from Running to Categorization Completed, click Continue to view the categories and reputation scores of the websites.

Note: Reputation scores reflect a website's reputation on the internet. The score is typically measured on a scale of 1 to 1,000 and indicates the level of trust and credibility associated with a particular web application.

10. To add all the domain names to the banned list, click Add all.
11. Optionally, you can add globally popular high-risk websites by clicking Go next to the Review and add globally suggested domain names panel.

Note: Examples of high-risk websites include spam and phishing sites such as crackzone.net, subtitleseeker.com, totalpad.com, etc.

12. You can also click Go next to the Review and add domain names suggested based on your environment panel to add low-reputed websites accessed within your organization.

DataSecurity Plus will now restrict access to all the blacklisted websites across your organization's network.
