Access Management
Access management helps you to effectively manage the roles and permissions of the users in a particular application. Managing the permissions provides a structured approach to grant, administer, and revoke access to digital resources. Access management strengthens your organization's security, maintains compliance, and improves operational efficiency.
Steps to configure Access Management for an application
- Log in to Identity360 as an Admin or Super Admin.
- Navigate to Applications → Application Integration and click Create New Application.
- Select the desired application for which you want to configure access management.
- In the General Settings tab, enter the Application Name and Description, if necessary.
- Select Access Management under the Choose Capabilities section for that particular application and click Continue.
Note: If you select access management, the Import/Sync option will automatically be enabled.
- In Integration Settings tab, select a Connection under the Application Connection section. If there are no existing pre-configured connections, click Create Connection to set up a new connection. Learn more.
- Enter the Key Based Authentication, Basic Authentication, OAuth2 Authentication, or any other application-specific information as required.
- Click Save to complete configuring access management for the application.
How to manage user access and permissions with Identity360
- Log in to Identity360 as an Admin or Super Admin.
- Navigate to Applications and click Access Management.
- In the Application Access Management view, choose the application for which you wish to control user permissions.
- In the Add user details tab, search for users for whom you intend to manage roles and permissions and click Go.
- The tab will show the list of all users in the application which matched your search criteria. Select the user(s) and click Next.
- In the Access Management tab, navigate to the Account section, where you can choose the application-specific profiles, roles and permissions sets to assign to users. Then, click Next.
- The Status tab displays the assignment status of users' roles and permissions, as well as any application errors that may have occurred during the process. This allows you to track the assignment of roles and permissions for each user granularly.
