Orchestration
Orchestration allows you to specify a sequence of tasks that will be executed automatically after a particular task is executed. It helps automate IAM routines, like employee onboarding and access management.
You can perform the following operations in this page:
Create a new orchestration profile
Profiles help you configure the conditions under which an orchestration task will be executed.
- Navigate to Universal Directory tab > Universal Directory > Orchestration.
- Click Create New Profile at the top right corner.
- Add a profile name and description.
- Choose the action that has to be executed in the Universal Directory to trigger the orchestration process from the Choose Action drop-down.
- If you wish to add conditions based on which the desired tasks should be executed in the selected directories and applications, you can configure them under the Profile Criteria section.
- Toggle the Action to be performed in other directories/applications button to perform a subsequent task in other directories or applications when the action mentioned in Step 4 is executed.
- Choose the action to be performed in other directories from the Choose Action drop-down.
- Create User: This option allows you to create user(s) based on the chosen template across the selected directories and applications.
- Modify User: This option enables you to edit the required user details across the selected directories and applications based on the chosen user modification template.
- Delete or Disable User: This option enables you to delete or disable the user(s) in the selected directories or applications.
- Modify Permission: This option allows you to modify permissions of the user(s) in the selected directories and applications based on the chosen template.
Note: You can customize the attribute values that need to be updated in the target directory or application for a particular action. However, any changes made in the orchestration profile will not be reflected in the actual template.
- Turn on the Enable Notification button and select the preferred notification template to receive notifications when the orchestration occurs.
- Click Save to complete.
