Identified in September 2011, GameOver Zeus is a peer-to-peer (P2P) variant of the Zeus family of bank credential stealing malware. This malware uses a decentralized network infrastructure with compromised computers and web servers to establish command and control.

The GameOver Zeus malware usually looks for personal data, credit card information, customer data, or sensitive corporate information. Once the malware finds that information, it has the capability to send this information to other peers on its P2P network.
