How to close a work or school account in an unmanaged Microsoft Entra organization (previously Azure AD) using the Azure portal

If you're a user within a Microsoft Entra ID unmanaged organization (tenant) and no longer need access to apps or want to maintain any connection with the organization, you can independently close your account. Please note that unmanaged organizations lack a designated Global Administrator.

To close an unmanaged work or school account, follow these steps:

1. Sign in to this page, using the account that you would like to close.
2. Navigate to Home → My data requests.
3. Under My data requests, select Close account.
4. Click on Yes to confirm the closure of your account.
