How to update an existing dynamic group rule in Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory)
Updating an existing dynamic group in Microsoft Entra ID requires a rule builder in the Azure portal. The rule builder supports up to five expressions, and you can use the text box to add more than five expressions.
Steps to create a group membership rule in Microsoft Entra ID
- Sign in to Microsoft Entra ID as at least Groups Administrator.
- Go to Groups > All Groups .
- Select the group you want to update and open its profile.
- In the profile page, select Dynamic membership rules. This will open the rule builder.
- The rule builder supports up to 5 expressions, and to add more, you can use the text box.
- To view the custom extension properties available for your membership rule, select Get custom extension properties , enter the Application ID, and select Refresh properties.
- Click Save after updating the rule.
