Windows 11 24H2 Feature pack deployment

1. Before deployment, run through the Compatibility Check available towards the end of the page, to find if you meet all the minimum requirements that impact upgradeability.
2. Ensure that feature pack option is enabled under Patch database settings.
   In Endpoint Central: Patch Mgmt -> Settings -> Patch Database Settings -> click on the Windows tab and enable the Feature Pack option.
   In Patch Manager Plus: Admin -> Settings -> Patch Database Settings -> click on the Windows tab and enable the Feature Pack option.
3. Ensure that you have not declined the feature pack updates under Decline Patches.

Follow the steps below to download the ISO image:

1. Download Windows 11 Enterprise Edition 24H2 ISO file from the Microsoft 365 Admin Center
2. In the Patch Manager Plus console:
   • Navigate to Threats & Patches->Patches->Download patches->Upload patches and apply All Patchesfilter.
   • Search for Patch ID - 111894 - Dependency Patch for Windows 11 (24H2) - October 2024 Update for enterprise (x64) (Manual Upload Required)
   • In the Upload pop-up window, browse and select the downloaded ISO file to upload
   • Once ISO file has been uploaded in dependency patch, the main patch should be deployed from the Missing Patch view. Refer to Deployment section
     

The above patch is applicable only for Windows 11 24H2 Enterprise edition.

Follow the steps below to download the ISO image:

1. Download Windows 11 Professional Edition 24H2 ISO file from the link attached
2. In the Patch Manager Plus console:
   • Navigate to Threats & Patches->Patches->Download patches->Upload patches and apply All Patchesfilter.
   • Search for Patch ID - 111890 - Dependency Patch for Windows 11 (24H2) - October 2024 Update (x64) (Manual Upload Required)
   • In the Upload pop-up window, browse and select the downloaded ISO file to upload
   • Once ISO file has been uploaded in dependency patch, the main patch should be deployed from the Missing Patch view. Refer to Deployment section
     

The above patch is applicable for all Windows 11 24H2 editions except the Enterprise edition.

If you are upgrading from any Windows 11 versions, refer to the following steps:

1. In the server web console, navigate to Missing Patches view.
2. Choose the Windows 11 24H2 feature pack patches you wish to deploy.

• Edition: Enterprise Edition - 64 Bit
• 111896 - Feature Pack Update for Windows 11 (24H2) - October 2024 Update for enterprise (x64) (Windows 11 to Windows 11)

• Edition: Other Editions - 64 Bit(Pro/Education/Home, etc)
• 111892 - Feature Pack Update for Windows 11 (24H2) - October 2024 Update (x64) (Windows 11 to Windows 11)

Automated Deployment

• To create an APD task for deploying Windows 11 updates, make sure to select the Feature Pack check box while defining the patch task.
• Once the dependency patch is downloaded and stored in the Patch Store, Feature Packs will be successfully deployed to the target computers during the subsequent deployment window. A separate configuration can be created for the particular patch on demand.

If you are upgrading from Windows 10 versions, refer to the following steps:

1. In the server web console, navigate to Supported Patches view.
2. Choose the Windows 11 24H2 feature pack patches you wish to deploy.

• 111895 - Feature Pack Update for Windows 11 (24H2) - October 2024 Update for enterprise (x64) (Windows 10 to Windows 11) (Deployment-Only)

• Edition: Other Editions - 64 Bit(Pro/Education/Home, etc)
• 111891 - Feature Pack Update for Windows 11 (24H2) - October 2024 Update (x64) (Windows 10 to Windows 11) (Deployment-Only)

The Windows 11 upgrade is applicable only for Windows 10 version 2004 and above
