How to configure Infoblox DHCP server for PXE?
To configure infoblox DHCP server for IPv4 BOOTP/ PXE, follow the steps given below,
- To configure your NIOS appliance for Network level/ DHCP range level/ Fixed address level/ Reservation, go to Data Management tab --> DHCP tab --> Networks tab --> Networks --> network checkbox and then click edit icon.
- In the DHCP Properties editor, select the BOOT/PXE tab and complete the following,
- PXE Lease Time: Enter the lease time for the preboot execution environment for hosts to boot remotely from a server.
- Complete the following in the BOOTP Settings section:
- Boot File: Enter the value as boot\\pxeboot.n12 to boot machines via legacy BIOS. To boot the machines via UEFI mode, for 64-bit computers enter the string value as EFI\\Boot\\bootx64.efi and for 32-bit computers, enter the string value as EFI\\Boot\\bootia32.efi.
- Next Server: Enter the IP address of the machine where Endpoint Central server is installed. For remote office, specify the IP address of the machine where distribution server of the remote office is installed.
- Boot Server: Enter the IP address of the machine where Endpoint Central server is installed. For remote office, specify the IP address of the machine where distribution server of the remote office is installed.
- Save the configuration and click Restart if it appears at the top of the screen.
