Updating SQL Credentials used in Central Server

When you have updated your SQL credentials, it is necessary that you update them in Central Server as well for smooth working of the server. This document will explain the steps to update the SQL credentials used in Central Server.

Note : This document is applicable only for Central server hosted in MSSQL database.

How to update the credentials?

Follow the steps given below to update SQL credentials:

  1. Stop the Central Server (Right click Central Server logo on the Notification area of Task bar and click Stop Service)
  2. Open ChangeDBServer.bat file located in <Install_Dir>\UEMS_CentralServer\bin. For example, C:\ProgramFiles\UEMS_CentralServer\bin  
  3. Specify the SQL server's new user name and password

    Note: Ensure that the SQL server credential has system admin privileges. Incase , if the existing hostname & port are not autofilled in changeDBserver GUI , we have to update their existing SQL servers name and port manually. Then confirm connectivity and save with the new username /password.

  4. Click test to test if the credentials are valid.
  5. Click Save. Now the credentials will get updated and the server will start automatically.
