How to identify the current database of Exchange Reporter Plus

Exchange Reporter Plus comes bundled with PostgreSQL database by default. You can however migrate to Microsoft SQL or other PostgreSQL servers as well. Having said that, it is important to know the current database used.

Follow the steps given below to identify the current database of Exchange Reporter Plus

1. Go to the default installation directory of Exchange Reporter Plus. (By default Exchange Reporter plus get installed under: C:\ManageEngine\Exchange Reporter Plus)
2. Open the conf folder.
3. Go to the database_params.conf file.
4. Open with Notepad or any other application as suited.
5. In the window that appears, you can find all information related to the current Exchange Reporter Plus database like the driver name, user name, connection pool size and more.

Note: You can find out the type of database from the driver's name, for example:

For a PostgreSQL database, the driver name would be: org.postgresql.Driver

For a Microsoft SQL database, the driver name would be: net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.Driver

You can also find the database name in the URL subprotocol.
