AD Self update attribute: User Name

A user object includes the following user naming attributes:

• userPrincipalName: the user logon name.
• objectGUID: the unique identifier of a user.
• sAMAccountName: a logon name that supports a previous version of Windows.
• objectSid: security identifier (SID) of the user
• sIDHistory: the previous SIDs for the user object

Admin can manage these attributes using the Active Directory User and Computers MMC snap-in.

ManageEngine ADSelfService Plus is an integrated self-service password management and a single sign-on (SSO) solution. Its Self-Service Directory Update feature allows users to update their logon name, display name, full name, and user logon name through a secure web-portal and effectively manage their Active Directory profiles.

Admins can also create multiple custom self-update forms and enforce it for different users based on their OU, group, or domain membership.
