If you want to audit/manage the usage of internet from the mobile devices, you can use HTTP Global HTTP Proxy. All you need to do is to create a profile and associate it to the required mobile devices. By enabling this, all the communications from the mobile device (from various apps and browsers) to reach the Internet, will be routed only using the HTTP Proxy server. So, internet usage from the mobile devices are completely audited/managed. You can create a Global HTTP Proxy profile from here: MDM product ->, Device Management -> Profiles -> Android-> HTTP Global HTTP Proxy.
Ensure that the proxy server is located on the edge/public network. The devices should be able to reach the proxy server, even when they are outside the corporate network. If the proxy server is not reachable, from outside the corporate network, then the mobile devices will not have connections to reach the internet when they are out of office. Users cannot reach the internet even using their mobile data. |
