To find the build number in Vulnerability Manager Plus, click the profile icon in the top right corner.

Instructions to Apply Service Packs/Hot Fixes

Shut down Vulnerability Manager Plus i.e. right click the Vulnerability Manager Plus logo on the Notification area of Task bar and click on Stop service)
Important:
- If you have to install a couple of service packs and hotfixes to reach the latest version, it is recommended to exit the Update Manager tool for every PPM installation.
Execute the UpdateManager.bat file present in the/VulnerabilityManagerPlus/bin directory.
Click "Browse" and select the.ppm file that you have downloaded.
Click "Install" to install the service pack. This may take few minutes depending on the amount of data that needs to be migrated.
Wait until the service pack / hotfix is fully installed.
Click "Close" and then click "Exit" to exit the Update Manager tool.
Start the Vulnerability Manager Plus.

How do I find out my build number?

Log in to the Vulnerability Manager Plus web console and click on your display picture on the top right corner. You can then see the build number present under the column Build.
Also, you can find the build version in Support tab -> General Details -> Product Information -> Build Version.

What is a Failover Server setup?

A Failover server is a secondary server that starts managing your devices if the primary server goes down, thus eliminating any downtime caused. Learn more.

How to check whether you have a Failover Server setup or not?

In the Vulnerability Manager Plus's web console, go to the Admin tab, under Server Settings, click Failover Server.

If you do not have a Failover Server setup, then the page will look similar to the image given below:

Note: In the Failover setup, the ppm should be applied to upgrade the primary server alone. The secondary server will be automatically upgraded to the same ppm.

Stop the Vulnerability Manager Plus secondary server.
Open services.msc --> Find ManageEngine Vulnerability Manager Plus Server --> Stop the service.
Stop the Vulnerability Manager Plus primary server.

Open services.msc --> Find ManageEngine Vulnerability Manager Plus Server --> Stop the service.

Execute the UpdateManager.bat file present in the <Vulnerability Manager Plus_home>/bin directory in the primary server.
If you have installed Vulnerability Manager Plus Server on Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 2008, Windows 8, or Windows 2012, you should login as a default administrator before running the Update Manager tool.
