Integrate UKG Pro with Identity360

About UKG Pro

UKG Pro is a HCM solution designed to help organizations streamline their HR processes and manage their workforce. It offers advanced analytics capabilities and other features, including: payroll, benefits management, time tracking, talent acquisition, and employee engagement.

Integrating UKG Pro with ManageEngine Identity360 allows you to import and sync user accounts from UKG Pro.

  • Import and Sync  

    Import and synchronize user accounts from UKG Pro into Identity360 to manage their identities in the Universal Directory. This enables admins to oversee all user-related actions from a single console.

The following steps will help you import and sync UKG Pro users into Identity360.

Prerequisites

  1. Log in to Identity360 as an Admin or Super Admin.
  2. Log in to UKG Pro as an Admin or as a user with Admin privileges.
  3. Navigate to the Web Services tab under the Security section in the side pane and copy the Customer API Key.

  4. You can find the service endpoint URLs below the Tenant ID. All the URLs will share a common base URL, which in this instance is: Servicet.ultipro.com. Copy the base URL as shown in the picture below.

  5. Click Service Account Administration under the Security section in the side pane.

  6. Click add located on the top right corner of the Service Account Administration page.

  7. Enter the User name and Email of the UKG Pro Web Service account.

  8. Scroll down and check the View permission box for Employee person Details under the Web Service column. Click save.

  9. Copy the newly generated password and click OK.

Identity360 configuration steps

  1. Navigate to Applications → Application Integration and click Create New Application.
  2. Select UKG Pro from the applications displayed.
    Note: You can also find UKG Pro from the search bar located at the top.
  3. Under the General Settings tab, enter the Application Name and Description, if necessary.
  4. Under the Choose Capabilities section, select Import/Sync capability and click Continue.

  5. Under the Integration Settings tab, select a suitable Connection from the drop-down under the Application Connection section. If there are no existing preconfigured connections, click Create New Connection to set up a new connection.
  6. Click Save to complete configuring Import/Sync for the application.

Application Connection

An application connection is a link established between Identity360 and UKG Pro to automate the process of importing and syncing, UKG Pro user accounts into Identity360 and to ensure user accounts are consistently managed and synchronized between the two entities.

Steps to create Application Connection:

  1. After giving application-specific details, navigate to the Integration Settings tab and click Create Connection.
    Note: Alternatively, you can create and manage application connections by navigating to Applications → Application Connection → Create New Connection → Choose UKG Pro from the Application drop-down.

  2. In the configuration pane, enter the Connection Name, and paste the base URL copied during Step 4 of prerequisites in the Web Services Base URL field.
  3. Enter the Username of the UKG Pro Web Service account and paste the Password copied during Step 9.
  4. Paste the Customer API Key copied during Step 3 in the Customer API Key field.
  5. Click Authorize. In case of any issues with establishing the connection, click here to find steps for resolution.

  6. You can test if the connection is active by clicking Test or reestablish the connection by clicking Reconnect.

  7. Click Save to complete the application configuration.
