  • Unified user management: The organization sought a solution to allow technicians to manage user accounts from a single interface, thereby enabling them to minimize operational redundancies and constraints.
  • Efficient data synchronization: The organization wanted a solution that could enable cross-platform interoperability. To elucidate this requirement with a use case, Bobrick's IT team was looking to integrate their directory environment with the human resource management system to expedite user creation.

The Problem:

Jared Lyons, IT infrastructure engineer at Bobrick, elaborated on the cumbersome process the organization faced: “We had to rely on multiple portals for user creation and management, which was time-consuming and inefficient.” This disjointed approach hampered the productivity of the technical staff. He also recalled, "Previously, there were three or four different portals that we had to go into [for user creation]."

Bobrick was in need of a centralized system that could streamline user management, reduce operational complexity, and enhance overall efficiency. After evaluating a plethora of solutions, the organization zeroed in on ManageEngine ADManager Plus, the AD management module of AD360.

The Outcome:

The implementation of ADManager Plus proved to be a game-changer for Bobrick's IT operations. Unlike the IT team's previous approach, Lyons observed that they were able to onboard users from a single console, without having to switch between different apps. ADManager Plus' automation features and its ability to integrate HR applications with an AD environment played a key role in reducing operational friction, especially in user life cycle management. In Bobrick's case, its IT department was able to sync its UKGpro data with the AD ecosystem to expedite user management.

While talking about the customized onboarding services offered by ManageEngine, wherein the organization received a hands-on, technician-assisted installation of ADManager Plus in its IT environment, Lyons remarked that although it has been highly beneficial, the experience proved to be a learning curve for his team and they were steadily becoming more proficient with the solution's features and user interface.
