Overview

Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS) is a Microsoft service that provides public key cryptography, digital certificates, and digital signature capabilities that enable organizations to build a public key infrastructure. The digital certificates that AD CS provides can be used to authenticate users, computers, and devices on a network.

ADAudit Plus is a UBA-driven change auditor that helps you track the activities on your AD CS servers and identify suspicious or anomalous actions. With ADAudit Plus, you can audit the following Windows Server versions that have the AD CS role with the Enterprise Certificate Authority (CA) architecture installed:

  1. Windows Server 2008/2008 R2
  2. Windows Server 2012/2012 R2
  3. Windows Server 2016
  4. Windows Server 2019
  5. Windows Server 2022
Note: ADAudit Plus does not audit the AD CS events from a Standalone CA architecture.

This guide takes you through the process of configuring ADAudit Plus and your AD CS servers for real-time auditing.
