Local Administrator Password Solution (LAPS) is a Microsoft feature designed to ensure that every computer has a unique, strong, and automatically managed password for its local administrator account.

The original LAPS implementation released in 2016 was known as Microsoft LAPS, which Microsoft now refers to as legacy LAPS. The current LAPS version is referred to as Windows LAPS.

ADAudit Plus keeps track of who is viewing or modifying the local administrator password with multiple predefined audit reports for both legacy LAPS and Windows LAPS. It also provides the option to generate custom reports and export them in various formats (PDF, XLS, HTML, and CSV).
