RCC required a solution that would actively monitor events happening all across their network. They had a traditional 300 server network running on four different campuses and found it overwhelming to monitor all the logs and audit logs from switches and firewalls. Additionally, they were on a tight budget and lacked the server hardware.
RCC were, in their words, "smack dab in the middle of a GLBA audit". The audit had a multitude of reports–from the number of users that had been created in the last year to the number of users that had been separated, terminated, or disabled. Generating those reports was incredibly time-consuming for the IT staff.
