How to edit group setting in Entra ID
Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) groups are used to manage users and their permissions collectively. The group's settings like name, description, or membership type can be modified from the Microsoft 365 admin center. The steps mentioned in the table below can be used to edit Entra group settings.
Steps to edit group settings using the native admin center
- Log in to the Microsoft Entra admin center as at least a Groups Administrator.
- Click the Identity tab from the left pane and navigate to Groups > All groups.
- Select the group that you wish to manage and select Properties from the side menu.
- Modify the general settings, such as Group name, Group description, or Membership type.
- Click Save.
