Exchange ActiveSync is a client protocol that lets you synchronize a mobile device with your Exchange mailbox. The protocol allows you to access organization’s mailbox information from any where using the synced mobile devices. The users can access emails, calendars, contacts and tasks both online and offline.
About M365 Manager Plus and ActiveSync reports
M365 Manager Plus is a comprehensive Microsoft 365 reporting, management, monitoring, auditing, and alerting tool. It allows you to enable or disable ActiveSync and also offers a number of intuitive reports on ActiveSync policies and devices. You can get information on who enables ActiveSync, device and OS used, application status, inactive devices, folder synchronization and more.
To enable or disable ActiveSync,
- Login to M365 Manager Plus.
- Click on the Management tab.
- Navigate to Exchange Online > Mailbox Management > Exchange Configurations.
- Choose Mailbox Features Settings option.
- Choose to enable or disable ActiveSync for specific mailboxes.
- Enter the Microsoft 365 Tenant.
- You can then either enter the name of specific mailboxes separated by commas or import a CSV file containing the mailbox(es) details. Once the mailboxes are found and selected, or imported successfully, click on Apply for the changes to reflect.
To fetch reports on mobile devices,
- Login to M365 Manager Plus.
- Click on the Reports tab.
- Navigate to Exchange Online > OWA & Mobile Reports > Mobile Reports.
- Choose a suitable report.
- Select the corresponding Microsoft 365 Tenant.
- Click on Generate Now.
