You can sync your OneDrive for Business account with a local computer that runs on Mac OS X. When you install the OneDrive sync app for Mac, a copy of your cloud’s OneDrive for Business will be downloaded to your machine and saved in the OneDrive folder. The changes made to this file from the machine will be automatically synced to the cloud and vice versa. This option helps you to effectively manage, add, edit or delete files and folders both in the cloud as well as in your local device using the Finder.
To sync OneDrive for Business with Mac OS X,
- Install OneDrive sync app for Mac.
- Press Cmd+Space to launch a spotlight query and type OneDrive.
- Sign in to set up your account.
- In the This is your OneDrive folder screen, configure the path for OneDrive documents storage by clicking on Change Location option.
- In the Sync Files from Your OneDrive screen, choose folders that you want to sync to your PC and click on Next.
- You can access OneDrive from your menu bar at any time. There is one icon each for the every account synced.
- Navigate to Preferences > Account > Choose Folder > Sync or Stop sync to manage syncing of individual folder as and when you want.
