In OpManager, Discovery refers to adding devices or interfaces for monitoring. Devices can be added through different methods. OpManager's network device discovery offers specific options for each device type and supports both individual and bulk discovery for simplified device management.
During scheduled or manual device discovery in OpManager, users receive important updates through the discovery progress notification. This notification, presented as a clear pop-up, offers a real-time overview of the ongoing discovery process, using which users can easily track progress of the device discovery.
After discovery process is complete, you can choose which devices to approve and which ones to ignore. Only the approved devices will then be added into OpManager. You can approve/ignore individual devices, or also select multiple devices and do it at once.
Furthermore, a detailed list of devices within the specified range and their respective discovery status can also be viewed.
