Login to InsightVM portal and navigate to URL : https://insight.rapid7.com/platform#/
Navigate to the left pane and select User Management. If the User Management tab is not visible, it indicates that the logged-in user does not have Platform Administrator privileges. You can reach out to the platform administrator to obtain the necessary access.
Verify in the Users tab that the following required access settings are present:
Platform Admin - Enabled
Product Access - InsightVM
Roles - Administrator (Shared)
Account Status - Active
If any of the specified access settings are missing, follow the below-mentioned steps to obtain access,
Select the Edit option within the Users tab.
For Platform Admin access:
In the Configure User Access section, ensure that Platform Admin is enabled.
For Product Access:
Navigate to Manage Individual Permissions -> Roles and enable the Administrator (Shared) checkbox.
Once completed, you can then proceed to generate the API key.
API key generation
Navigate to the API Key Management tab, then select User Keys and proceed to Generate New User Key.
Select the organization, enter the name and then click Submit.
Copy the API key generated in the popup and proceed to configure it within Patch Manager Plus.
