Upgrade to macOS Sequoia via patch deployment

Description

On 16th September 2024, Apple released macOS Sequoia (macOS 15) - the latest major release of the OS. It is named after Sequoia National Park in the Sierra Nevada mountain range of California. You can upgrade your machines to the latest version of macOS - Sequoia seamlessly via patch deployment.

System requirements

Operating system: macOS 10.13 and later

Compatible systems

Here's the list of systems that can support macOS Sequoia:

  • MacBook Pro (2018 or later)
  • MacBook Air (2020 or later)
  • Mac mini (2018 or later)
  • iMac (2019 or later)
  • iMac Pro (2017 or later)
  • Mac Studio (2022 or later)
  • Mac Pro (2019 or later)

Creating a backup

Before installing an upgrade, it is always recommended to create a backup of your machines. You can use Time Machine to create a backup of your Mac devices.

Upgrading via patch deployment

You can upgrade your Mac devices to macOS Sequoia by deploying the patch with ID 608674.

  • The patch will be shown only in the compatible systems under Missing Patches after a successful DB sync.
  • For Apple silicon machines, during deployment the MDM is required or end-users will receive a prompt to enter the password for the deployment to proceed.
