The USBDeview UI
When you open USBDeview, this is what you'll see:
Here are the columns you will see in the UI:
- Device name - The name of the USB Device.
- Description - Details/description for the USB Device.
- Device type - Type of device such as Storage, Bluetooth, Video, etc.
- Connected - Status of the device whether connected or not.
- Safe to Unplug - Shows whether it is safe to unplug the connected device.
- Disabled - Shows whetherthe device was disabled.
- USB Hub - Shows whether the device was connected through a USB Hub.
- Drive Letter - Specifies the drive letter of the USB device. This column is only relevant to USB flash memory devices and to USB CD/DVD drives.
- Created Date - Specifies the date/time that the device was installed.
- Serial number (for mass storage devices) - USB devices used for mass storage have unique serial numbers.
- Last plug/unplug date - Last time the device was plugged or unplugged depending on the status.
- VendorID (VID) - Unique ID of a vendor assigned by the USB Implementers Forum.
- ProductID (PID) - Unique ID of the product assigned by the vendor.
- Firmware - The version of firmware on the device.
Features of USBDeview
