Access recommendation in ADManager Plus utilizes machine learning to deliver smart suggestions that enhance user provisioning and access certification. By analyzing attributes of similar users, this feature identifies the appropriate groups for access, reducing security risks and ensuring compliance.

How access recommendation works

  • Attribute comparison

    Machine learning evaluates key attributes such as department, role, and manager, comparing them with those of similar objects to identify commonalities.

  • Pattern-based insights

    It detects trends in access rights, determining whether they align with typical usage patterns for similar users or objects.

  • Smart suggestions

    During user creation, the feature provides intelligent recommendations for group memberships, during user provisioning, based on analyzed patterns. Subsequently, during access certification, it offers precise suggestions on retaining or revoking access rights, ensuring informed decision-making and compliance.

These recommendations streamline decision-making for administrators, helping maintain compliance and enhance security across your AD environment.

Steps to enable access recommendation

  1. Log in to ADManager Plus.
  2. Navigate to Admin > General Settings > Security and Privacy.
  3. Check the Show Access Recommendation option to enable machine learning-powered suggestions.
  4. Click Save.

After enabling the feature, you'll see an access recommendations button during user creation for group membership suggestions, and a column in Access Certification to suggest whether to retain or revoke group access.
