Group Member Management

    Using this feature of ADManager Plus, administrators can add/remove members from a group in bulk.

    Modify Distribution List Members

    This option allows you to add or remove members from distribution groups in bulk.

    Steps:

    1. Click on the Office 365 tab and click on the Management section.

    2. Click on the Group Management option in the left pane.

    3. Select the Modify Distribution List Members operation.

    4. Click on the edit option located next to the Add To Group field to select the groups to which you want to add members.

    5. Click the edit option located beside the Remove from Groups field, if you want to remove members from that group(s). Check the Remove from all Groups option if you want to remove users from all the groups.

    6. Select the desired Office 365 Tenant Account.

    7. Find the members either by:

      1. Importing the CSV file that has the list of required users.

      2. Using the built-in search option.

      Note: Under the name search, click on search without entering any input, to view the complete list. For CSV file import, click Download Sample CSV to view the format.

    8. Select the users you want to remove.

    9. To preview selected objects, click Selected Objects count.

    10. Click Apply to execute.

    11. Once executed, you can view the status of the operation.

    Modify Mail Enabled Security Group Members

    This option allows you to add or remove members from mail-enabled security groups in bulk.

    Steps:

    1. Click on the Office 365 tab and click on the Management section.

    2. Click on the Group Management option in the left pane.

    3. Select the Modify Mail Enabled Security Group Members operation

    4. Click on the edit option located next to the Add To Group field to select the groups to which you want to add members.

    5. Click the edit option located beside the Remove from Groups field, if you want to remove members from that group(s). Check the Remove from all Groups option if you want to remove users from all the groups.

    6. Select the desired Office 365 Tenant Account.

    7. Find the members either by:

      1. Importing the CSV file that has the list of required users.

      2. Using the built-in search option.

    8. Select the users you want to remove.

    9. To preview selected objects, click Selected Objects count.

    Modify Office 365 Group Members

    Modify Security Group Members

    This option allows you to add or remove members from security groups in bulk.

    Prerequisite:

    To perform this action, ensure that the Azure module is installed on the machine where ADManager Plus is installed.

    Steps:

    1. Click on the Office 365 tab and click on the Management section.

    2. Click on the Group Management option in the left pane.

    3. Select the Modify Security Group Members operation.

    4. Click on the edit option located next to the Add To Group field to select the groups to which you want to add members.

    5. Click the edit option located beside the Remove from Groups field, if you want to remove members from that group(s). Check the Remove from all Groups option if you want to remove users from all the groups.

    6. Select the desired Office 365 Tenant Account.

    7. Find the users either by:

      1. Importing the CSV file that has the list of required users.

      2. Using the built-in search option.

    8. Select the users whom you want to remove.

    9. To preview selected objects, click Selected Objects count.

    Add/Remove Group Members using a CSV

    This option helps you add or remove members from an Office 365 group by importing the member details using a CSV file.

    Steps:

    1. Click on the Office 365 tab and click on the Management section.

    2. Click on the Group Management option in the left pane.

    3. Click on the Add/Remove Group Members using CSV option located under the Group Member Management section.

    4. Choose the required Office 365 Tenant Account.

    5. Specify the CSV file to be imported using the Browse button.

    6. Click on Import Groups and select the groups that you want to import.

    7. Click on Apply.

    Following are the LDAP headers that can be specified within the CSV file that you want to import:

    (Mandatory fields marked by *)

    Header in CSV file Description
    Identity* Specifies the group that you want to modify.You can use any value that uniquely identifies the group. For example: Name, Display name, Alias, Distinguished name (DN), Canonical DN, Email address, GUID
    Type* Specifies the type of the group.Valid values are:
    • Office365Group
    • DistributionGroup
    • MailEnabledSecurityGroup
    Members* This parameter is used to identify the members (users and groups).
    Operation* Specifies the operation to be performed.Valid values are:
    • Add
    • Remove
    DisplayName Specifies the display name of the group.
