How to Configure Endpoint Central for Managing Endpoints via Mobile App?

Logging into the Mobile App
- Download the mobile app from the App Store or Google Play Store. Alternatively, scan the QR code from the server console by navigating to Admin tab > User Administration > Mobile App
- After downloading the app, select the Cloud or On-Premises version based on your setup.
- Provide the following details to proceed:
- Server Name: Specify the server name or IP address. Ensure it is reachable from devices outside the organization.
- Port: Specify the port number used.
You can get the above details by navigating to the Admin tab > User Administration> Mobile App as shown in the screenshot below.
- Click Save to proceed.
- Enter the username and password, then click Sign inĀ to access the app.
Supported authentication methods include:
- Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
- SAML Authentication
Steps for Deploying Patches through the Mobile App
Patches can be deployed using two methods:
- After logging in, go to Patch Management > All Patches, select the required patches from the Missing Patches list (single or multiple), and click the Install Patch icon.
- Alternatively, navigate to Patch Management > All Systems and click the Patch Install icon for the respective system to install all missing patches.
- Once the patches are selected, specify the following details:
- Configuration Name and Description
- Deployment Policy
- Define Target: Select specific computers or all missing computers.
- Finally, click the Deploy button to successfully deploy the patches.
- After deploying patches, monitor the deployment status by navigating to Patch Management tab > View Configurations. Here, you can see a list of all the deployed configurations and their status.
Best Practices for Using the Mobile App
To ensure effective use of the Endpoint Central mobile app, follow these best practices:
- Always keep the app updated to the latest version.
- Use the App Lock feature under mobile app settings to ensure security.
- Enable Two-Factor Authentication for additional login security.
Note: If the App Lock feature is not used, additional authentication such as the device passcode will be required for performing critical tasks.
Security Guidelines
The following security standards are enforced in the mobile app:
- Enforced HTTPS mode for secure communication between the app and server.
- The app is not supported on jailbroken or rooted devices.
- Screen recording and screenshots are restricted on sensitive screens.
- Sensitive information is securely stored within the app.
