Devices that run on Intel, AMD, and ARM processors are all affected by these bugs, which is nearly every computer and mobile device, including cloud servers. Special consideration should be afforded for devices handling sensitive data, especially ones that contain passwords to important databases. Attackers can use this sensitive data to gain access to corporate financial documents, trade secrets, acquisition plans, customer information, and more, which means you need to patch these exploits as soon as possible.
Meltdown and Spectre not only affect most existing Intel, AMD, and ARM chips, but many of the chips currently in design as well. Intel, AMD, and ARM would have to completely rethink the design of their chips to fully escape the vulnerabilities created by these flaws.
