24011: Reset password failed
Event 24011 occurs when a user attempts to reset another user's SQL server login password and fails. It mostly occurs when a privileged user (administrator) tries to reset the password of other users. This event is generated by the LOGIN_CHANGE_PASSWORD_GROUP action group. Administrators can derive important information from this event including the:
- Date and time at which the event occurred.
- Session identifier of the event.
- ID, name, and type of the target object (in this case, the SQL server login).
