Prerequisites for admin account configurations

• The Exchange Reporter Plus' admin account must be a member of the following groups.
  • For Exchange 2010, 2013, and 2016: The Organization Management and Domain Admin groups.
  • For Exchange 2007 and 2003: The Exchange View only Administrator and Domain Admin groups.

  The Transport queues role should be assigned to the user or the Organization Management group in order to run email monitoring reports. It can be done using the commandlets as mentioned below:

  • To assign the transport queues role to the user, enter the following commandlet in Powershell:

  New-ManagementRoleAssignment -Name TransportRoleAssignment -User 'DOMAIN\userName' -Role 'Transport Queues'

  • To assign the transport queues role to the Organization Management group, enter the following commandlet in Powershell:

  New-ManagementRoleAssignment -Name TransportRoleAssignment 
  -SecurityGroup 'Organization Management' -Role 'Transport Queues'
