Notification Template


    In the dynamic landscape of network security, a swift response to critical security incidents is crucial for a well-functioning organization. The Notification Template feature in Firewall Analyzer is your solution to achieving this. It helps you choose personalized means of notification to alert administrators or automate actions, ensuring the right personnel are alerted, and appropriate response actions are taken.

    Steps to create, and assign a notification template.

    1. Create a new Notification Template.
    2. Apply the Notification Template to
      1. Alarm Profile
      2. Compliance mandate
      3. Device Rule failure

    1. Create a Notification Template:

    Firewall Analyzer offers multiple options to create a Notification Template. To access the options, go to Settings > Others > Notification Template.

    • Email
    • Email based SMS
    • SMS
    • Run a Program
    • Log a Ticket
    • Chat
    • Web Alarm
    • SysLog Profile
    • Trap Profile
    • Invoke a webhook

    2.a. Alarm Profile

    Alarm Profile allows you to set conditions for an alarm to be triggered. This includes configuring the criteria and threshold values. Click here to know more on how to create an Alarm Profile in Firewall Analyzer.

    2.b. Compliance mandates

    Notification Templates can be applied to Compliance Standards to notify you where there is a breach in the threshold details.

    • To do this, go to Compliance > Standards > Notifications
    • Notification Template can be set for multiple standards by clicking the '+' icon.
    • Choose the Template Type and Template Name.
    • Click Save to proceed.

    2.c. Device Rule failure

    Notification Templates can be applied to device addition to Device Rule. The Notification template will be triggered when the device addition fails.

    • To do this, go to Settings > Firewall Server > Credentials
    • Click the bell icon under Actions column.
    • Select Enable Notification.
    • Choose the Template Type and Template Name.
    • Enter the duration for which you want to receive this notification.
    • Click Save to proceed
