Error remarks:

  1. Intune configuration failure due to insufficient permissions

    Problem

    When users try to save the Application Management configurations for Intune/MEM, the process fails displaying the remark Intune configuration failure due to insufficient permissions

    Cause

    This issue occurs if any of the following hasn't been enabled:

    • If the recommended steps in this document haven't been followed
    • If any of the below-mentioned permissions haven't been enabled under "Application Permissions":
      1. DeviceManagementApps.Read.All
      2. DeviceManagementApps.ReadWrite.All
      3. DeviceManagementConfiguration.Read.All
      4. DeviceManagementConfiguration.ReadWrite.All
      5. DeviceManagementManagedDevices.Read.All
      6. Device ManagementManagedDevices.ReadWrite.All
      7. Directory.Read.All
      8. Group.Read.All
      9. AuditLog.Read.All
      10. GroupMember.Read.All
    • If the admin consent hasn't been approved.
    • If "Application permissions" hasn't been chosen in the Microsoft Graph window.

    Resolution

    Ensure that all the permissions in Application Management configurations for Intune/MEM are enabled. Follow all the steps mentioned in this document to resolve the issue.

  2. Intune updates publish failure due to insufficient permissions

    Problem

    When Patch Connect Plus publishes an app/update to Intune, the process fails, displaying the remark Intune updates publish failure due to insufficient permissions

    Cause

    This issue occurs if any of the permissions have been revoked from the Application Management configurations for Intune/MEM by the admin.

    Resolution

    Ensure that all the permissions in Application Management configurations for Intune/MEM are enabled. Follow all the steps mentioned in this document to resolve the issue.
