Schedule Report

Slice-and-dice reporting is an ideal way to track spending effectively. Reports customized to your needs will be delivered to your inbox as often as you choose. Use reports to analyze the cost per user, team, project, and resource type based on consumption.

The Schedule Report section provides a summary of all the reports that have been scheduled until now or those that can be scheduled. You can schedule reports for the following entities in CloudSpend:

Dashboard

Accounts, Business Units, and Reports are the three different dashboards for which you can schedule a report.

To schedule a Dashboard report:

  1. Go to Admin > Schedule Report > Dashboard.
  2. On the Configure Details page, configure the below fields:
    • Name: Enter a display name.
    • Report Type: Select the applicable report type. The available options are Accounts, Business Units, and Reports. Once you select the required report type, choose the required accounts, business units, or reports from the Accounts, Business Units, or Reports list as applicable and click Apply.
    • Report Format: Select the desired format. The available formats are CSV and PDF.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Choose the applicable Report Profile. If you wish to create a Report Profile, click Create Profile.
  5. Click Next, and in the Notification Settings page, enter the below details:
    • Notify via: Select Users or User Groups to get notified about the report.
    • Email Report: Select the email ID to which the report is to be delivered.
  6. Click Save.

Spend Analysis

The reporting from the Spend Analysis tab can be scheduled to deliver on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis for Accounts, Business Units, and Reports.

To schedule a Spend Analysis report:

  1. Go to Admin > Schedule Report > Spend Analysis.
  2. On the Configure Details page, configure the below fields:
    • Name: Enter a display name.
    • Report Type: Select the applicable report type. The available options are Accounts, Business Units, and Reports. Once you select the required report type, choose the respective account, business unit, or report reports from the Accounts, Business Units, or Reports list.
    • Report Format: Select the desired format. The available formats are CSV and PDF.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Choose the applicable Report Profile. If you wish to create a Report Profile, click Create Profile.
  5. Click Next, and in the Notification Settings page, enter the below details:
    • Notify via: Select Users or User Groups to get notified about the report.
    • Email Report: Select the email ID to which the report is to be delivered.
  6. Click Save.

Resource Explorer

A unique aspect of scheduling reports from the Resource Explorer section is that you get to choose the grouping criteria based on which the reports will be generated. The various grouping criteria are Region, Service, and Accounts. Reports can be delivered on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis.

To schedule a Resource Explorer report:

  1. Go to Admin > Schedule Report > Resource Explorer.
  2. On the Configure Details page, configure the below fields:
    • Name: Enter a display name.
    • Report Type: Select the applicable report type. The available options are Accounts, Business Units, and Reports. Once you select the required report type, choose the respective account, business unit, or report from the available list.
    • Report Format: Select the desired format. The available formats are CSV and PDF.
    • Group by Type: Select the criteria by which the reports are to be generated. The available options are Accounts, Service, and Region.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Choose the applicable Report Profile. If you wish to create a Report Profile, click Create Profile.
  5. Click Next, and in the Notification Settings page, enter the below details:
    • Notify via: Select Users or User Groups to get notified about the report.
    • Email Report: Select the email ID to which the report is to be delivered.
  6. Click Save.

Checks

Budget Checks

To schedule a Budget Checks report:

  1. Go to Admin > Schedule Report > Checks.
  2. On the Configure Details page, configure the below fields:
    • Name: Enter a display name.
    • Checks Type: Select Budget.
    • Report Type: Select the applicable report type. The available options are Dashboard, Details, Alerts, and History. Once you select the required report type, choose the respective budgets from the Budget list and click Apply.
    • Report Format: Select the desired format. The available formats are CSV and PDF.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Choose the applicable Report Profile. If you wish to create a Report Profile, click Create Profile.
  5. Click Next, and in the Notification Settings page, enter the below details:
    • Notify via: Select Users or User Groups to get notified about the report.
    • Email Report: Select the email ID to which the report is to be delivered.
  6. Click Save.

Anomaly Checks

To schedule an Anomaly Checks report:

  1. Go to Admin > Schedule Report > Checks.
  2. On the Configure Details page, configure the below fields:
    • Name: Enter a display name.
    • ChecksType: Select Anomaly.
    • ReportType: Select the applicable report type. The available options are Dashboard and Details.
    • Anomaly Checks: Select the applicable anomaly checks and click Apply.
    • Anomaly Status: Select the anomaly status as required. The available options are Open, False Positive, and Acknowledged. This field is displayed when you select the report type as Dashboard.
    • Report Format: Select the desired format. The available formats are CSV and PDF.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Choose the applicable Report Profile. If you wish to create a Report Profile, click Create Profile.
  5. Click Next, and in the Notification Settings page, enter the below details:
    • Notify via: Select Users or User Groups to get notified about the report.
    • Email Report: Select the email ID to which the report is to be delivered.
  6. Click Save.

Report View

To schedule a Report View report:

  1. Go to Admin > Schedule Report > Report View.
  2. On the Configure Details page, configure the below fields:
    • Name: Enter a display name.
    • Report Type: Report View is selected by default.
    • Report Format: Select the desired format. The available formats are CSV and PDF.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Choose the applicable Report Profile. If you wish to create a Report Profile, click Create Profile.
  5. Click Next, and in the Notification Settings page, enter the below details:
    • Notify via: Select Users or User Groups to get notified about the report.
    • Email Report: Select the email ID to which the report is to be delivered.
  6. Click Save.

Summary View

To schedule a Summary View report:

  1. Go to Admin > Schedule Report > Summary View.
  2. On the Configure Details page, configure the below fields:
    • Name: Enter a display name.
    • Report Type: SummaryView is selected by default.
    • Report Format: Select the desired format. The available formats are CSV and PDF.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Choose the applicable Report Profile. If you wish to create a Report Profile, click Create Profile.
  5. Click Next, and in the Notification Settings page, enter the below details:
    • Notify via: Select Users or User Groups to get notified about the report.
    • Email Report: Select the email ID to which the report is to be delivered.
  6. Click Save.

Zia Anomaly

To schedule a Zia Anomaly report:

  1. Go to Admin > Schedule Report > Zia Anomaly.
  2. On the Configure Details page, configure the below fields:
    • Name: Enter a display name.
    • Report Type: Select the applicable report type. The available options are Summary, Category, and Details.
    • Anomaly Status: Select the required anomaly status. The applicable option are Open, False Positive, and Acknowledged.
    • Category: Select the category for which the anomaly report needs to be scheduled. This field is displayed only when you select the report type as Category.
    • Anomaly: Select the anomaly for which the report has to be scheduled.
    • Report Format: Select the desired format. The available formats are CSV and PDF.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Choose the applicable Report Profile. If you wish to create a Report Profile, click Create Profile.
  5. Click Next, and in the Notification Settings page, enter the below details:
    • Notify via: Select Users or User Groups to get notified about the report.
    • Email Report: Select the email ID to which the report is to be delivered.
  6. Click Save.

Inventory

To schedule an Inventory report:

  1. Go to Admin > Schedule Report >Inventory.
  2. On the Configure Details page, configure the below fields:
    • Name: Enter a display name.
    • Report Type: Select the applicable report type. The available options are Summary and List.
    • Accounts: Select the required account.
    • Report Format: Select the desired format. The available formats are CSV and PDF.
    • Group by Type: Select the criteria by which the reports are to be generated. The available options are Accounts, Service, and Region.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Choose the applicable Report Profile. If you wish to create a Report Profile, click Create Profile.
  5. Click Next, and in the Notification Settings page, enter the below details:
    • Notify via: Select Users or User Groups to get notified about the report.
    • Email Report: Select the email ID to which the report is to be delivered.
  6. Click Save.

Savings Report

To schedule a Savings Report:

  1. Go to Admin > Schedule Report > Savings Report.
  2. On the ConfigureDetails page, configure the below fields:
    • Name: Enter a display name.
    • ReportType: Accounts is selected by default.
    • Accounts: Select the required account.
    • Report Format: Select the desired format. The available formats are CSV and PDF.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Choose the applicable Report Profile. If you wish to create a Report Profile, click Create Profile.
  5. Click Next, and in the Notification Settings page, enter the below details:
    • Notify via: Select Users or User Groups to get notified about the report.
    • Email Report: Select the email ID to which the report is to be delivered.
  6. Click Save.

Custom Report

To schedule a Custom Report:

  1. Go to Admin > Schedule Report > Custom Report.
  2. On the Configure Detailspage, configure the below fields:
    • Name: Enter a display name.
    • Report Type: Custom Report is selected by default.
    • Custom Reports: Select the required custom report.
    • Report Format: Select the desired format. The available formats are CSV and PDF.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Choose the applicable Report Profile. If you wish to create a Report Profile, click Create Profile.
  5. Click Next, and in the Notification Settingspage, enter the below details:
    • Notify via: Select Users or User Groups to get notified about the report.
    • Email Report: Select the email ID to which the report is to be delivered.
  6. Click Save.

Recommendations Report

To schedule a Recommendations Report:

  1. Go to Admin > Schedule Report > Recommendations Report.
  2. On the Configure Details page, configure the below fields:
    • Name: Enter a display name.
    • Report Type: Recommendation Report is selected by default.
    • Accounts: Select the required cost account.
    • Linked Accounts: Select the required linked accounts.
    • Report Format: Select the desired format. The available formats are CSV and PDF.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Choose the applicable Report Profile. If you wish to create a Report Profile, click Create Profile.
  5. Click Next, and in the Notification Settings page, enter the below details:
    • Notify via: Select Users or User Groups to get notified about the report.
    • Email Report: Select the email ID to which the report is to be delivered.
  6. Click Save.

Creating a Report Profile

You can create a Report Profile while scheduling a report. To create a Report Profile:

  1. In the Choose Profile page, click Create Profile next to the Report Profile field.
  2. Enter the Display Nameand configure the below fields:
    • Frequency: Defines how often the report will be generated and sent to the configured recipients. Choose from Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, or Yearly based on your reporting needs.
    • Period: The date range for which the report data will be generated.
    • Business Quarter Months: Specify the business quarter months as needed to schedule a quarterly report for the first month of each quarter. This option is displayed only when you select the report frequency as Quarterly.
    • Reporting Month: Select the required month to schedule the yearly report each year. This option is displayed only when you select the report frequency as Yearly.
    • Time Zone: The time zone in which the scheduled report will be sent.
    • Reporting Time: Indicates the exact time the report will be generated and sent.
  3. Click Save.
