How to discover class A, class B and class C network devices? 

Class A Network:

The entire class A predominantly begins with 10, and is private, to be used in LANs When discovering Class A network devices, do the following:

  • Specify the IP range or the network address that you'd like to discover.

  • Select the netmask as 255.0.0.0

  • Select the relevant discovery credentials from the list of configured credentials.

  • Click 'Save and Execute'

The Host Address Range for Class A Network: 10.0.0.1 – 10.255.255.254.

Class B Network:

When discovering class B network devices, the procedure is the same as class A. But instead of selecting 255.0.0.0, make sure you select the netmask as 255.255.0.0. 

The Host Address Range for Class B Network: 172.16.0.1 – 172.16.255.254. 

Class C Network:

When discovering class C network devices, the procedure is again the same as class A. But instead of selecting 255.0.0.0, make sure you select the netmask as 255.255.255.0.
