Translating trap OID into corresponding MIBs
The SNMP manager in the device sends the traps which contains the varbinds (OID Value pair) which are generated based on information in MIBs. To convert the varbinds into quantifiable value in OpManager, users have to select the relevant MIB file.
- Add the MIB file in the MIBs folder.
- Use the Click here button to access the list of MIBs as shown in the image below.
- Choose the relevant MIB from the list.
Translation error:
OpManager indicates translation error warning when,
- The dependent MIB of the selected MIB file is found missing inside the OpManager-home\mibs folder.
- The previously selected MIB or its dependent MIB file is missing after OpManager is restarted.
Note:
The MIB file selected to translate the trap OID has a dependent MIB which was initially imported to add the selected MIB file in the folder. (Only when the dependent MIB file is available in the folder, trap OID translation will occur.)
