System Cannot find the file Specified - MsSpellCheckingFacility.exe

Problem:

While installing security monthly roll ups you might get an error: The system cannot find the file specified.

Note: The patch deployment fails in systems with the following OS: Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.

Cause:

This error will be shown if the MsSpellCheckingFacility.exe file is missing in the system.

Resolution:

You can resolve the issue as follows:

• Ensure your system has the MsSpellCheckingFacility.exe file

  If your system does not have the MsSpellCheckingFacility.exe file, it is recommended to download the same from any other system running on the same operating system as yours. You may find the above mentioned file in the following folder :

  C:\Windows\WinSxS


• Fix the windows update error using the Microsoft's system update readiness tool

  Refer the following Microsoft document to troubleshoot the issue and follow the steps specified under For Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows Server 2008 :
