How to integrate ADManager Plus with ServiceDesk Plus Cloud

ServiceDesk Plus Cloud is a cloud-based help desk solution with integrated asset management features. It can also be used by help desk technicians to perform critical identity management tasks by integrating it with ADManager Plus.

With this integration, technicians can perform the following actions from ServiceDesk Plus Cloud console:

  • Provisioning users
  • Enabling or disabling user accounts
  • Reseting passwords
  • Unlocking user accounts
  • De-provisioning users
  • Adding users to groups
  • Removing users from groups
  • Modifying the manager field
  • Modifying the department field

Steps to configure the ADManager Plus integration in ServiceDesk Plus Cloud

Before getting started:

  • If you haven't deployed ADManager Plus yet, download it here. For detailed installation steps click here.
  • If you're an existing user, ensure that you've updated ADManager Plus to the latest version. The integration with ServiceDesk Plus Cloud is supported from versions 7064 and up.
    • Log in to ServiceDesk Plus Cloud as the admin.
    • Open Settings from the top-right corner of the page.
    • Navigate to Developer SpaceCustom WidgetNew Custom Widget.
    • Click on the Attach file option to upload the ADManager Plus plug-in file (a ZIP file). You can download the ADManager Plus plug-in here.
    • Click Save.
    • After the plug-in gets installed, an ADManager Plus tab will become available.
    • Click Integrate, enter the ADManager Plus URL, and choose the probe from the drop-down list. Click Next.

    • Once the URL gets established, enter the ADManager Plus admin credentials like Username, Password, and Domain. Click Finish.

Steps to integrate ServiceDesk Plus Cloud

  • Log in to ADManager Plus and navigate to the Admin tab.
  • Under System Settings, click Integrations.
  • Click on ServiceDesk Plus Cloud located under ITSM/Help Desk Tools.

Note: The Enable Integration button is turned on by default. Toggle it off to disable ServiceDesk Plus Cloud integration.
