Modify NTFS and Share permissions of File Servers

Solution : ADManager Plus allows you to Modify NTFS and share permissions from File Server Management.

Steps to modify NTFS Permissions :

1. Go to Management tab.
2. Select File Server Management. Under Permission Management, select Modify NTFS permissions.
3. Select the folder(s) whose NTFS permissions has to be modified.
4. In Select Permissions section, choose the user/group whose permissions you want to add, set the kind of permission from the drop down list in permission tab, Select the file/folder/sub folder the permission applies to from the drop-down list and set the type of permission such as Allow/Deny. Click the + sign to add more modifications in the permissions.
5. Modification of the inheritable permissions can be done by choosing the relevant option(s) given in the drop-down list.
6. Select 'Apply'

Steps to modify Share permissions :

1. Go to Management tab.
2. Select File Server Management., Under Permission Management, select Modify Share permissions.
3. Choose the folders whose share permissions you want to modify from the 'Select' option.
4. In Select Permissions section, choose the user/group whose permissions you want to add, set the kind of permission from the drop-down list in permission tab and set the type of permission such as Allow/Deny. Click the + sign to add more modifications in the permissions. Select 'Modify'.

Note : If you want to replace the existing permissions with latest added permissions then select the check box next to Remove all existing permissions and apply only the above permissions.
