Configuring Custom LDAP Attributes

ADManager Plus allows you to add your own LDAP attributes without affecting your Active Directory's Schema. To add an attribute,

    1. Log in to ADManager Plus and navigate to the Admin tab.
    2. In the left pane, under Custom Settings, click LDAP Attributes.
    3. Click + Add Attribute button present on the top-right corner and specify the following:
      • LDAP Name: Specify the LDAP name for the attribute.
      • Display Name: Enter a name for the attribute in the Display Name field.
      • Data Type: Specify the data type.
      • Associated Reports: Check in the associated reports for the attribute, i.e. if you have added a LDAP attribute for user, check in the User option.
      • Associated Management: Select the associated management actions for the attribute from the drop-down list.

You can also import custom LDAP attributes from your Active Directory. To do this,

      • Click the Choose button next to the LDAP Name field.
      • Select the attributes of your choice and click OK.
      • Alternatively, you can search and choose attributes from the suggestions displayed in the LDAP Name field.
      • NOTE:
        • The Data Type field is auto-populated from AD along with the LDAP Name.
        • Click the icon-refresh icon in the Select Attributes window to sync the custom attributes from your Active Directory, whenever,
          • A new domain from your AD is added to ADManager Plus.
          • A new attribute is created in the domains configured in ADManager Plus.
        • Deleting a domain from ADManager Plus will delete the custom LDAP attributes obtained from that domain. However, this does not apply to the LDAP attributes configured in ADManager Plus.
      • Once done, click Add.
