How to Shutdown or Restart a Remote Computer?
Using Remote Access Plus, users can seamlessly schedule Remote Shutdown on managed computers. Not just shutdown other power options like restart and hibernate can also be scheduled via this tab. Follow the below steps to schedule the remote operation:
Steps to create and schedule shutdown
In Remote Access Plus console navigate to Tools -> Remote Shutdown -> Schedule Shutdown.
Click on Add Shutdown Task and choose the OS of the devices in which the task has to be initiated.
Task Name: Give an appropriate name for the scheduled task.
Operations: Choose an operation that needs to be initiated. The operations available are shutdown, restart, hibernate, log off current user, log off all users, stand by and lock computer.
Incase you choose to schedule shutdown or restart you will be promted with the following options:
Do not disturb if the user has logged-in: Shutdown/restart will not be initiated if the user is logged-in.
Allow user to skip/postpone the Operation(Windows and Mac only):
Allow user to skip: User can either skip or postpone the scheduled shutdown/restart multiple times.
User can postpone the operation up to: Users will be restricted to postpone shutdown/restart only for the specified number of times. If the limit is crossed the system will undergo force shutdown/restart.
Time out: Duration within which user can skip or postpone shutdown/restart.
Message: Customize a message to be displayed in end users device.
Force Shutdown/Restart: Users permission will not be required. Shutdown/restart will be initiated automatically as scheduled.

Define the target computers where remote operation needs to be initiated. Learn more.
To schedule the operation to occur automatically, configure the scheduler.
Once: Use this option if you want the task to take place only once. Specify a start time and start date.
Daily: Use this option if you want the task to take place everyday. Specify whether the task should take place on all days or only on weekdays.
Weekly: Use this option if you want the task to take place on a weekly basis. Specify a start time and the required days of the week.
Monthly: Use this option if you want the task to take place on a monthly basis. Specify the start time, when you want this task to take place (for example, first Sunday or the day), and months in which you want this task to take place.
Click save to deploy the scheduled task. From the next refresh cycle the scheduled task will be initiated.
