Consistent pricing

OpManager's subscription and perpetual licenses have been unchanged for the last five years.

Subscription or perpetual, monitor what you want for as long as you want

PRTG offers no alternatives to its subscription pricing plans. Users have to license PRTG for a minimum of three years and pay inflated license costs. PRTG also has a history of frequently raising prices without prior warnings. OpManager's subscription prices are a third of PRTG's latest prices. OpManager also has perpetual licensing plans that still cost less than PRTG's yearly prices.

What's more? OpManager users haven't experienced any price hikes in the last 5 years.

Why customers prefer OpManager as a PRTG alternative

Previously, I used PRTG in my environment and recently switched to OpManager. I am overall much happier with this move. To name a few reasons:

  • When adding a device, OpManager already has a profile built for you with sensors setup. In PRTG, you can also set up a profile; however, you have to sit there and build it yourself initially.
  • The reports offer much better Information. I can get information that was presented to me by PRTG and VMWare Realize, now are all under the same product. Essentially, this eliminates two products in my environment.
  • I also feel that OpManager is a complete product. My goal was to find one product I could use to replace multiple monitoring solutions. OpManager with Flow analysis, IP management, config management, domain controller monitoring, storage, and application monitoring is it.
