Certification Process

Once the campaign is executed, access requests are generated and assigned to appropriate certifiers, either by default or based on the assigning rule. The certifier will have the ability to review and certify the access requests. If the notification feature is enabled under assigning rule, the corresponding technicians will receive a notification when a request is raised.

The technician can follow the below steps to certify the access requests:

    1. Login to ADManager Plus.
    2. Navigate to the Workflow tab > All Requests.
    3. The page displays all the workflow and certification requests assigned to the technician. To view only the certification requests, follow any one of the steps below:
      • In the Filter By field, select Certification Requests.
      • Add a new column Mode which shows the type of requests available. You can select the ones having Certification Requests as the value.
    4. Click the Subject name of the respective request, which will redirect you to the certification page displaying all the objects and their access under review.
    5. Refer to the Access Recommendations column to view suggestions, generated using ML algorithms, on whether to retain or revoke access for each object.
    6. How Access Recommendations works

      • Attribute comparison

Access Recommendations uses ML to evaluate object attributes such as department, role, manager, etc., and compares them with others who share similar characteristics.

      • Pattern-based insights

It identifies trends in access rights to determine whether they align with typical usage for similar objects.

      • Smart suggestions

Based on these findings, the feature provides recommendations to retain or revoke access, simplifying decision-making and enhancing accuracy.

    7. Once the actions are selected, click Execute to modify the access status of the objects.
    8. Note: Ensure to click Execute once you have reviewed all the accesses.

    9. You can view the history of activities performed on the request in the Activities tab at the bottom.
