How to get Azure AD sign-in reports on Azure Portal?

Azure Active Directory audit logs (operations) and sign-in logs (authentication data) help you trace all changes and sign-in activity done within Azure AD. You can retrieve the data by logging into the Azure Portal. Alternatively, you can use a comprehensive AD auditing solution like ADAudit Plus that will make things simple for you.

Azure AD Portal

Steps to generate Azure AD reports through Azure Portal:

  • Log in to Azure Portal, search for and select Azure Active Directory.
  • Navigate to Azure Active Directory > Monitoring > Sign-ins
  • Filters can be created and reports can be downloaded in CSV or JSON format for the most recent 250,000 records.

ADAudit Plus

To obtain the report,

  • Log in to the ADAudit Plus web console.
  • Go to the Reports tab > Azure AD Tab > User Logon Reports.
  • Select the domain.
  • Select Export as to export the report in any of the preferred formats (CSV, PDF, HTML, CSVDE and XLSX).
