Deprecation and obsolescence


Deprecated features

Deprecated features should not be used in new versions. The features are in maintenance mode only. It will continue to be supported till a notice of obsolescence is published or till that product version reaches End of Support (EOS).

Following are the list of features that are deprecated in Applications Manager:

Oracle 9i Application Server Monitor Monitor is deprecated as the version/product reached End of Life (EOL).    
Oracle 10g Application Server Monitor Monitor is deprecated as the version/product reached End of Life (EOL).    
Web Transaction Recorder Web Transaction Recorder is deprecated now. Chrome Extension can be used to record and add transactions for Real Browser Monitor (RBM). Also HAR Import method can be applied to add Http(s) Url Sequence Monitor. 14870 Oct 12, 2020

Publish dashboard unauthenticated with insecure publish key Previously, publish dashboard endpoint was unauthenticated along with an easily guessable publish key encoding. Now, publish dashboard endpoint is replaced with a secure publish key.    

Obsolete features

An obsoleted feature is a component/feature that is no longer supported.

Microsoft Lync Server 2010 and 2013 (Skype 2015) The monitor is obsolete. Skype for business is available as an alternative monitor.    
Azure Service Bus (Classic) The monitor is obsolete. Microsoft Azure is available as an alternative monitor. 13450 May 24, 2017
