Disable Skype for Business, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Teams accounts in one go

When an employee leaves an organization, their account should be stripped of its privileges, then deprovisioned. If this is not done, that former employee's account will become stale. Malicious insiders could leverage stale accounts to access your organization's resources.

The disable policy in ADManager Plus is a boon for system administrators looking to tackle the deprovisioning of dormant accounts or former employees' accounts in Active Directory (AD). Because organizations use a variety of collaborative tools, disabling AD user accounts alone does not cut it. Using this policy, you can disable accounts on cloud platforms, such as Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft 365, along with AD accounts.

Skype for Business

• Disable or delete Skype user accounts linked to AD user accounts.

Microsoft 365

• Revoke Microsoft 365 licenses associated with user accounts. By doing so, you can effectively manage licenses and assign them to active user accounts.
• Enable or disable litigation hold of Microsoft 365 accounts instantly.
• Convert a Microsoft 365 mailbox to a shared mailbox and enable access for multiple users for convenient email communication within a team.
• Remove users from all Microsoft 365 groups to effectively prevent former employees from accessing shared workspaces.
• Revoke all active sessions of Microsoft 365 to prevent unauthorized entry by former employees.
• Block Microsoft 365 users to prevent unauthorized logins.
• Hide or unhide users from the Exchange address list in Microsoft 365.
• Disable Google Workspace accounts linked to AD user accounts.

Microsoft Teams

• Remove Microsoft Teams accounts.
