OpManager Free Training

What should I do if my RDP feature is not working for Windows 2016 and above devices, after making OpManager FIPS compliant?

Kindly follow the below steps:

  • In the end device, run the command "gpedit.msc" from the run dialog box. The below page will appear.
  • Troubleshooting RDP
  • Now, navigate to "Computer configuration -> Administrative templates-> Windows components -> Remote Desktop Services -> Remote Desktop Session Host -> Security" and right click on the "Require use of specific security layer for remote (RDP) connection" option.
  • Troubleshooting RDP
  • Now, click on the "Enabled" radio button, and select the specific RDP from the security layer section.
  • Click on "Apply".
  • Troubleshooting RDP
  • Now, click on "OK".
NOTE: Since the above steps do not meet the FIPS standards, we strictly do not recommend the same, unless it is to connect Windows 2016 or above devices, via RDP, from the FIPS enabled OpManager UI.
