About File Analysis
File Analysis is part of DataSecurity Plus, a unified data security platform. It provides deep insights for enhancing file security and storage management. Receive information on file permissions, disk usage, and storage efficiency in the form of charts as well as predefined and customizable reports.
Key capabilities
Analyze file storage
Locate stale and non-business files, analyze file storage patterns, view reports on file type distribution, and more.
Spot file security issues
Check effective permissions, and identify files and folders allowing unrestricted access, inconsistencies in permission propagation, and more.
Spot potential ransomware infections
Detect ransomware file extensions with the help of our built-in, up-to-date library. Automate a suitable response to isolate infected files.
Manage file and folder storage
Detect duplicate files, unused files, and empty folders, and delete them directly from reports to optimize disk storage.
Supported platforms
Utilize file analysis to detect security vulnerabilities and enhance disk space utilization within your server environment through a full examination of file metadata.
File analysis can be performed across the following Windows Server versions: Windows Server 2008 R2 and above.
The DataSecurity Plus agent can only run on a machine with .NET framework version 4.5, in addition to any of the server OS mentioned above.
