How to use TaskSchedulerView

TaskSchedulerView doesn't require an extensive installation process or the download of additional DLL files.
  • Download the zip file.
  • Extract the file and run TaskSchedulerView.exe tool.
  • Some of the tasks can be viewed, enabled or disabled only if the tool is run as an administrator. Administrator privileges can be enabled by pressing Ctrl+F11.

    When you first open TaskSchedulerView, this is what you'll see:

  • The following are some of the details that can be found on the TaskSchedulerView dialog box:
    • Task Name - Name of the scheduled task.
    • Status - The present status of the task (Ready or Disabled).
    • Last Run - The time when the task was executed previously.
    • Next Run - The time when the task is scheduled to be executed next.
    • Triggers - The conditions which must be satisfied for the task to be executed, such as particular time of the day or certain actions like logon etc.
    • The results displayed on the TaskSchedulerView dialog box can be saved in any preferred format (CSV, TXT, HTML or XML) or copied to clipboard.

  • Navigate to Process Tracking.
  • Select Scheduled Task Created.
The following are some of the details that can be found on the Scheduled Tasks Created report:
  • File Name - Name of the scheduled task created.
  • User Name - The user who created the scheduled task.
  • Schedule Time - Time of creation of scheduled task.
  • Message - A description of the scheduled task creation that has been carried out.
  • Schedule At - The time at which the scheduled task is supposed to be executed.
